Navy beat a 1 and 7 Irish time for the first time in 43 years. I was lucky enough to be sitting dead center in the Navy section to watch the whole thing. All 3 overtimes. It had to happen eventually, and this was the year we all knew it was a possibility. As much as I hate to lose that streak it doesn’t hurt as much that it was to Navy as it would have with anyone else. Navy has class and the team and fans certainly had spirit on Saturday. I was directly behind the team in row 30 and they were jumping up and down and standing on the benches for the entire 4th quarter and all 3 overtimes. They really wanted that win.
